To secure a supplier to provide a focused and expert service over a sustained period (contract duration to 30 June 2021) to support the creation of a larger and more diverse pipeline of potential Non-Executive Director (NED) and Chair candidates for NHS organisations. This work programme requires proven expertise in the field of board level recruitment with a particular emphasis on the early phases of the full board level recruitment process, i.e. research, identification, attraction, qualification and screening. Suppliers will need to demonstrate a track record of working in partnership to deliver appropriately scaled solutions that are underpinned by the requisite skills, tools, experience and quality of service. Total quantity or scope of tender

The support and service to be procured:

While the ultimate intent is to ensure that we are able to make Chair and NED appointments more effectively and efficiently, drawing on a larger and more diverse pipeline of candidates in each case, we are not seeking a conventional full lifecycle recruitment/appointment support service. The requirement is to provide support to the identification, attraction and initial screening of potential candidates for the purposes of building pools with which we will maintain a level of ongoing contact. This ongoing contact and associated relationship management may include:

- involvement in established Chair and NED regional networks

- familiarisation visits

- shadowing and buddying opportunities

- regular communication and engagement with NHS England/Improvement via the resident resourcing team

- other (tbc)

We are also seeking high level support for the candidates prior to entry into the pools and would want any response to include proposals regarding the support suppliers might offer in this regard.
