Description of the goods or services required
PLEASE NOTE: ALL WORKS ARE IDENTIFIED IN THE ATTACHED PLANS. WORKS START FROM THE BROMSGROVE HIGH SCHOOL ACCESS ROAD TO THE EAST. WORKS TO THE WEST OF THE ACCESS AS IDENTIFIED IN SHEET 2 or 3 WILL BE A SEPARATE TENDER.
The project objectives are:
- To improve the existing off-road infrastructure to accommodate cyclists from Bromsgrove South High School down Lyttleton Avenue.
- To improve the pedestrian/ cyclist crossing point at the Charford Road/ Lyttleton Avenue junction
In order to deliver the project objectives, the following is required:
- Footway widening to 2.5 – 3.0 metres in locations that allow
- A precast concrete L-Shape retaining structure for the widening of footway adjacent to the nearby brook
- Uncontrolled crossings with tactiles at vehicular/ footway intersections
- Removal of some existing footway to create a new footway with new route
- Corduroy paving slabs to indicate shared use
- Build out of kerbline for new crossing point on Charford Road
- Removal of existing gully and installation of new pipe and gully to pick up surface water
- Fencing installed across the boundary between new footway and High School
- Top soil and grass seed in banked up areas
- Removal and responsible disposal of all waste
- Reinstatement of compound/ plant/ welfare areas
- Concrete edging to retain all footways
- Blacking out and lining of junction
- Establishment and removal of appropriate Traffic Management
- Application of TM permits
- Application of Compound license
