Notice Abstract

Intraosseous access devices can be defined as the needle sets and associated accessories and components required to provide Intraosseous vascular access. The NAS requires a battery powered drill based intraosseous vascular access system due to the minimal force required for insertion, speed of insertion and vascular access success rate, which are all critical pre-requisites for the type, and level of care routinely provided by the NAS.The system must be battery powered because manual-powered insertion is not suitable for NAS use and alternative sources of power may not be available particularly at roadside incidences.
