Notice Abstract

Invitation to Tender (ITT) For: Recruitment and Management of Non-Permanent Workers British Council Bangladesh using Non-permanent worker to support its day to day operation. Total expenditure acquire for the service is 15 million per year and the total contract value for 2 years is approximately 28 million. British council is an international organisation and working in various development sectors in Bangladesh. We never compromise with quality of the services. We expect the supplier who will work with us also understand our operations and work, like our valuable partner. 7.1 The Service Provider will provide non-permanent workers service to British Council by engaging competent persons of different categories as mentioned in the service provider is completely liable to match the staff category in accordance to the ROLE PROFILE submitted for each category (Attached as Annex [4] Job Description of categories) by the British Council within 7 working days of requisition submission by British Council. 7.2 The Service provider shall ensure any replacement of its employee in case of leave and or absence from duty. 7.3 If the employee of the Service provider in course of their duties gets any non-public information, whether commercial, technical, financial or of whatever nature, from the British Council under this Agreement, must not use or disclose the information. 7.4 The British Council accepts no liability in respect of any injury, loss or damage that any temporary staff deployed by the service provider may suffer and which was caused or contributed by any act of negligence or person, whether in connection with their duties or otherwise. 7.5 The service provider is responsible for an accurate calculation of the monthly invoice supported by the duly submitted log sheet prepared by the worker and signed by their respective supervisor. 7.6 Original copy of the attendance sheet must be submitted to the respective focal point during the submission of the invoice. 7.7 The service provider must ensure that all temporary staff deployed at the British Council is paid within five working days (5th) of each month for their previous month’s service. 7.8 The service provider is completely liable to match the staff category in accordance to the ROLE PROFILE submitted for each category (Attached as Annex [4] Job Description of categories) by the British Council. 7.9 The service provider is liable to provide support to British Council with Non-Permanent workers any time (even on an urgent basis). 7.10 The service provider will be responsible to provide immediate support in case of absenteeism of Non-Permanent workers to any units. 7.11 For the purpose of the operation, if in any case needs arise to travel outside Dhaka, British Council travel policy will be followed; any claim of bill will not be included with the monthly bills of Service Provider. 7.12 The service provider must abide by all the terms and conditions of British Council and therefore must be responsible to create awareness among their staffs working for British Council with the British Council values and culture. 7.13 The British Council shall not tolerate any breach of discipline of the British Council committed by the Service Provider staff. 7.14 The service provider is responsible to follow the proper recruitment policy ensuring the quality of the recruited staffs. 7.15 The service provider must be able to create a pool of staff available for British Council. 7.16 The service provider is (must be) responsible to check and ensure the following about the recruited staffs: - Qualifications - Employment History - Right to work - Identification - Reference Check / Background History - Criminal conviction Report/ Police verification report 7.17 All the documents (including recruitment records) mentioned above must be made available (if required) to the British Council at any point of time. 7.18 The service provider must ensure poli

7.20 All the deployed staffs must be aware about the Child Protection policy, Anti-bribery, Information Management, Equal Opportunity and diversity and the code of conduct of the British Council.
