Energy Consultancy Cork -Energy consultancy for the retrofitting of Myross Wood House and the Cathedral of St Mary and St Anne
The scope of the Energy consultancy is to carry out a Building Energy Rating (BER) assessment in two historic buildings, Myross Wood House in Leap, Co Cork and the Cathedral of St Mary and St Anne in Blackpool, Cork city both constructed in the early 1800's. The baseline energy assessment should include consultation with the building owners and users. Using the baseline energy performance data collected, the successful candidate will work with the Cork Centre for Architectural Education (CCAE) design team to create a roadmap / proposal for how to achieve Near Zero Energy Building (NZEB) standards in the buildings and model different energy retrofit scenarios, considering best practice energy conservation and alternative renewable energy systems. The successful candidate will also present the outcomes of the baseline analysis, surveys and scenarios modelling completed to the client, building owners and users and CCAE design team and facilitate the selection of preferred retrofit pathway. The above-mentioned tasks including baseline evaluation and NZEB proposal should be used to formulate an overall Energy Master Plan for Myross Wood House and the Cathedral of St Mary and St Anne which will be carried out over a two-year period from the project start date. The maximum consultation budget for the two properties will be in the region of €8,000 to €12,000 with separate quotations required for both buildings.
