Notice Abstract

The City of Edinburgh Council’s Housing Services has an Investment Programme in place which aims to deliver more affordable homes across the city; invest in existing homes and places; and invest in services to help improve quality of life and reduce living costs for our tenants.The improvement programme will be people focused, based on sound research and benchmarking. A summary of the expected community benefits has been provided as follows:

The Provider will be required to provide sponsorship of the Edinburgh branch of one or more Registered Charities or recognised community groups. This sponsorship should relate to a specific project which will target improvements within local community environments with a view to generally improving the lives of local citizens in some way. The value of the proposed sponsorship should be a minimum of 1% of the anticipated contract value over the initial 36 month period of the proposed contract. In the event of the contract being extended beyond the initial 36 month period, this Community Benefit sponsorship should continue. The Tenderer Submission document includes a question about the tenderers Community Benefit proposals and this will be evaluated and scored as part of the tenderer’s overall submission.
