Notice Abstract

Machines and apparatus for testing and measuring. To procure a mobile trailer mounted pneumatic mast that can send a payload of at least 20 kg up to 30 metres above ground level to support RadHaz, electromagnetic interference and RF modelling validation measurements at height. The key requirements are: a. The solution must be able to take a payload of at least 20 Kg to a height of at least 30 metres, and a maximum collapsed height of 5 metres. b. The solution must have a fixed ladder, gantry and safety rail to allow safe access to the mast head when the mast is in the collapsed down, upright position. The solution must also have a system for guying the mast for erection in inclement conditions. c. The solution must have a self-contained generator, battery and battery charger, and if it is a pneumatic mast it must have its own air compressor with a reservoir. This equipment must be weather proof and be stored on the mast trailer. d. The solution must be light and portable (not to exceed overall weight of 750 kg) enough to allow rapid deployment to numerous measurement positions over the course of a day’s work. e. The solution must be capable of being towed by road/ off-road worthy vehicles with a towing capacity 3500 kg f. Our preference is the successful contractor would provide any solution with a service and repair package for at least 5 years. The solutions identified are listed below, with the required options and accessories: The following options are also sought to be included in the equipment purchase: Motorised mast head to allow accurate positioning of antenna/probe. Inclusion of a self-guying solution. Cable management loops on each mast section. Multi-function mast head with a number of adaptors to help fit the large number of equipment’s E3A regularly use for measurement. Must be agile and light weight to allow multiple measurements to be taken at multiple measurement positions in a day’s work (typically, 10 measurements at different heights at 10 different measurement positions in a 9hr working day). Out riggers with feet and spreader pads for each axle. On trailer storage facility to allow for stowage of test equipment etc NATO (military) and civilian towing hitch capability.
