NHS England hereafter referred to as "the Authority" would like to invite prospective Bidders to attend a Market Engagement Event which will inform the market of the intentions to the recommission Healthcare contract in HM Prison & Young Offenders Institution Feltham (HMYOI Feltham)
HMYOI Feltham forms part of the Young Peoples Estate for both Young Adults and Young People.
Reception criteria:
Young People - Sentenced and remanded young people aged 15 - 18 as directed by the courts.
Young Adults - Sentenced young adults aged from 18 to 21.
Accommodation: Young Adults and Young People occupy separate residential units.
Young People - Feltham A
There are currently six units in operation for young people including a first night / induction unit. Each Unit holds up to 30 young people.
Young Adults - Feltham B
There are seven units in operation the Young Adult side with a mixture of double and single accommodation.
In compliance with Public Contracts Regulation 2015 and in the interests of transparency, consistency and fairness, the Commissioner is required to undertake a formal procurement process at the contract expiry of the existing contracts.
The existing Healthcare contract in HMYOI Feltham has been extended and is expiring on 31st March 2020.
Service Scope
HMYOI Feltham will require the following services to be delivered:
1. Primary Care GP and Nursing services
2. Healthcare Administration
3. Mental Health Services
4. Sexual Health Services
5. Integrated Clinical Substance Misuse Services
6. Integrated Psycho-social interventions service for substance misusers
7. Allied Healthcare Services e.g. Chiropody/Podiatry, Physiotherapy etc.
8. Optometry services
9. Pharmaceutical Services
10. Clinical Waste management
11. Escorts and Bedwatches management
12. Health Promotion
13. Continuity of Care
