Notice Abstract

Approved Repairer Service Wheelchairs We are looking to commission an approved repairer for a London based Wheelchair Service. Enfield Wheelchair Service provides wheelchairs and associated equipment to adults and children who have no or reduced walking ability, a permanent or long-term medical condition, or a projected prognosis of six months or over. We require an Approved Repairer Service who are proactive in delivering an excellent service and who can meet the requirements of legislative frameworks. The key aims of this service are to provide: • Flexibility in delivering the service, in order to meet the needs of clients, acknowledging their individuality and ensuring the service is a person-centred service at all times. • To deliver an efficient, quality, cost effective wheelchair delivery, collection, repair, maintenance, emergency visits and storage service. • To ensure only competent persons are used in the delivery of an approved repairer service ensuring wheelchairs are fit for purpose and safe to use. • To ensure repairs and maintenance to clients’ wheelchairs have minimal impact on the clients’ function, independence and/or postural support. The Approved Repairer will provide engineers with extensive experience in a wide range of wheelchairs and accessories working across all areas of Approved repairer business. The standard working hours for attending clients are 9am to 5pm.The Provider will also provide an out of hours 365 days a year emergency call out service. The out of hours are from 5pm to 11pm and 7am to 9am. Keywords wheelchair
