The lowered drink drive limit in Scotland was introduced in December 2014. This incorporated a legislative requirement for roadside breath screening devices to display a numerical value for the sample provided.

This requirement will provide a standardised, data enabled, roadside breath testing device for use by all Officers across the Territorial Policing Division in Police Scotland.
