Description of renewals:

Following the expiry of a warranty period of 12 months’ duration, a support and maintenance contract of 4 years’ duration will be awarded. The contracting authority reserves the right to award subsequent contracts governing the support and maintenance of the fire suppression systems, each of 12 months in duration, until the obsolescence of the systems.

Justification:

In accordance with Article 27.3 of Directive 2014/24/EU, the contracting authority is availing of shortened timescales in respect of this competition. The urgency associated with this requirement arises from the fact that the required equipment will be used in an acute hospital setting. On grounds of patient care, time is of the essence in respect of this competition.
